Chairman of the Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations chairs the sixth and final session of the Board of Trustees for the year 2024
His Excellency the Chairman of the Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, Engineer Saad Amin Al-Jubouri, chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees in its sixth and final session for the year 2024, which was held today in the Baghdad Hall at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in Baghdad.
In the presence of the governors (Baghdad, Salahuddin, Diyala, Babylon and Nineveh) and the undersecretaries of the ministries (Finance, Education, Migration and Displacement, Health, Reconstruction and Housing, Municipalities and Water Resources) and representatives of the Secretary-General of the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Vice President of the Fund, the Head of the Engineering Affairs Department, the Head of the Administrative, Financial and Legal Affairs Department, the Heads of the Control, Audit and Contracts Department, the Finance and Planning Officers, the Secretary of the Fund's Board of Trustees, and the Public Relations and Media Officer.
His Excellency discussed many of the necessary procedures that contribute to the rehabilitation and development of government institutions in the liberated governorates.
His Excellency stressed that work is ongoing to complete all requirements for including projects that have been suspended by the Ministry of Planning.
His Excellency pointed out the need to form specialized committees to undertake the task of clarifying the extent to which soil investigation reports can be approved for buildings near projects instead of conducting tests for them.
His Excellency explained that informing and notifying the Fund is important and essential in the event that there are prepared projects as a government commitment to donor countries, which helps to raise the technical level and reach completion.
His Excellency stated that adhering to the directives of the Prime Minister, Eng. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, to include deprived and poor areas contributes greatly to improving the service reality. His Excellency stated that supporting water departments addresses many water scarcity issues and provides potable water in deprived areas, in addition to establishing a complex on a permanent source such as the main rivers to ensure its access to everyone.
