The Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations continues the work of the main street rehabilitation project linking the center of the Tigris district and southern Tikrit in Salah al-Din Governorate.
The Fund's engineering and technical staff was able to reach advanced stages of project completion, with the completion rate reaching 93%.
The work included rehabilitating and developing the internal road towards Al-Zalaya, 6 km long, creating two 7-km-wide corridors back and forth, and constructing a central island 1.5 m wide. The evening work included the final layer of surface type asphalt, 6 cm thick, and installing lighting poles.
It is hoped that the project will be completed according to the specified time frames and the required technical specifications by the end of this month of March.
