The Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations continues to rehabilitate the Canaan Water Expansion Project in Diyala Governorate.
The work includes preparing and installing a water complex (500 m3), complete with sedimentation basins and filters, with all suction and boost pumps, chlorine and alum devices, along with a slurry and dipping basin, as well as constructing a service building, a fence, internal roads, a transformer, and a generator, in addition to preparing and connecting a main electrical control panel.
Work continues by extending pipes with a diameter of (110) mm, with a length of (2000 m), (225) mm with a length of (200 m), and a pipe with a length of (350) mm, with a length of (100 m).
Engineer Ihab Raouf, the Fund’s project follow-up officer in Diyala Governorate, explained that the project has reached an 80% completion rate and work is continuing to complete it according to the specified time frames and internationally approved standard specifications.
Pointing out that the delivery of potable water will include a large segment of society, reaching more than (6,000) people.
This project is part of the Reconstruction Fund projects plan for areas affected by terrorist operations for the year 2023.
